HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Legislature Party has asked the Government to furnish list of assigned and other lands held by elected representatives and other politicians in the forthcoming budget session of the Assembly. " The Government should make public the list of land holdings of elected representatives," senior TDP leader Ch. Rajeswara Rao said at a press meet here on Thursday. He said they would forcibly occupy the assigned lands, if they were not distributed to the eligible poor. Party MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy said his party had collected information of the lands held by the Chief Minister and his family and it would be furnished in the Assembly. The leaders took a dig at the land distribution function in Kadapa on Wednesday and questioned in what capacity the AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh had attended the programme. They decried the comparison of Dr. Reddy with Vinoba Bhave. "Vinoba Bhave urged the landlords to donate lands for the poor. But in the case of Dr. Reddy, the lands were owned in an objectionable manner and then distributed," R. Chandrasekhara Reddy, MP, said.
