Two youths killed

KADAPA: Two youth -- J. Kamaal Basha (21) and Boreddy Venkatasubba Reddy (25) -- were killed when a lorry knocked down their motorcycle near Gudipadu village in Duvvur mandal on Wednesday .

Fire accident

Three killed in road accidents

Kakinada: Three persons were killed in two road accidents in the district. Saladi Nageswera Rao, 19, a worker in a sand ramp, was knocked down by a car near Jonnada under Alamuru police station limits.

Pithani Lakshmi and her son were drowned when the tractor they were travelling fell into a canal near Seela village. - Correspondent

ACB raids

Kakinada: The ACB special team from Vijayawada, led by Choudary, DSP, Venugopal and Gangaiah, inspectors, conducted searches in the residential premises of Natha Ranga Rao, Deputy Director, Mines and Geology and in-charge of East and West Godavari and Krishna districts here on Thursday.

Assets worth Rs. 60 lakhs were detected during the searches, the ACB officials told newsmen.
