Puducherry: Volunteers of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), led by its general secretary V.S. Abishegam, staged a dharna at the Regional office of ESI Corporation at Mudaliarpet on Friday. He said in a release later that the Government had not taken steps to expand the ESI Corporation Hospital. Although promises were made quite often that a super specialty hospital would be set up, nothing had been done. R. Viswanathan MLA (CPI) also spoke.
