Suzlon places bid for German firm

MUMBAI: Domestic wind energy major Suzlon Energy on Friday placed a 126 euro per share bid to acquire German wind turbine manufacturer RE Power Systems. The company will acquire REpower Systems jointly with PorMartifer SGPS of Portugal. French company Areva has already made a 105 euro per share bid for acquiring the company.
