RBI's instruction to banks

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has once again issued instruction to banks to ensure that under no circumstances should counterfeit banknotes get dispensed through ATMs or across the exchange counters.

This follows the receipt of a few complaints from the members of public that counterfeit banknotes were received by them through ATMs.

For further information and guidance, the regional offices of the RBI can be approached.
