CAT: online registration from February 12

KOCHI: Online registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology for its B.Tech and postgraduate programmes will start on February 12.

Vice-Chancellor P.K. Abdul Azis inaugurated the online facility here on Friday. Dr. Azis said that online counselling for admission would be introduced next year.

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) designed the software for the online registration process initiated by the university. From this year, application forms would be accepted only online, he said.

All entries shall be made on the application form available on www.cusat.ac.in. CAT for postgraduate courses will be held on April 21.

The test for B.Tech courses will be held on April 22.

The status of the application will be displayed on the web site after March 18. Admit cards can be downloaded from March 25.

A candidate who fails to receive the admit card by April 5 should contact the International Relations and Academic Admissions (IRAA) wing of the university.

Candidates must retain the admit card till the admission process is over. Candidates can clear their doubts regarding CAT by forwarding their queries to admissions@cusat.nic.in. IRAA phone: 0484-2577100; 2575959; 2577159.
