The mutilated body of a district police intelligence officer was found in a sack on the banks of the Haldi on Saturday, four days after he was killed in a mob attack.
Superintendent of Police Ashok Dutta said the body of Sadhu Chatterjee with knife injuries was found around 10:30 a.m. It was sent for post-mortem.
Mr. Chatterjee was attacked and killed on Wednesday last at Ishwardehajalpai, near here, when he accompanied the police to an area where the locals were digging up roads to prevent the force from entering their villages. PTI
