Kozhikode: Ashok Kumar Peruva (Government Higher Secondary School, Pattikkad, Malappuram); and T.K. Suresh (Government Upper Primary School, Kadamuruthy, Ranni, Pathanamthitta) bagged the first and second prizes respectively in the poetry contest conducted in connection with the tenth All-Kerala School Teachers' Union conference held here from February 8 - 10. First prize in Story writing went to Usharani D. Shankaramangalam (Government HS, Viyapuram, Alappuzha); and second prize to V.K. Venugopal (Perambra HSS, Perambra, Kozhikode). M. Ragunath (Government HSS, Kakkodi, Kozhikode) and V.J. Philomina (AML School, Cholayilmukku, Thrippanachi, Manjeri, Malappuram bagged the first and second prizes respectively in the essay writing contest.
