HYDERABAD: A labourer Srinivasulu, who allegedly raped and murdered two women, including the mother of a teenaged girl he was living with, was arrested by the Cyberabad police on Saturday. The labourer was a resident of HMT Hills in Kukatpally and a maniac of sorts, Balanagar ACP S. Madhavachary told reporters. A year ago, he allegedly raped a woman he had befriended and later murdered her by smashing her head with a boulder. The Miyapur police registered a murder case but could not trace the killer for want of clues. He later started living with a teenaged labourer Laxmi. On learning this, Laxmi's mother Ramulamma, 45, came to Srinivasulu's house, picked up an argument with him on the whereabouts of her daughter. On the pretext of searching for Laxmi, the labourer took the woman to an isolated place behind IDL factory in Kukatpally. He assaulted her there and bludgeoned her head with a boulder. Angry residents gave him a thorough thrashing before handing to the Kukatapally police. Srinivasulu admitted to the police later that he sexually assaulted and killed the two women.
