Man stabbed to death at Kalliyoor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city police have launched a manhunt for three youth accused of murdering a 58-year-old man at Kalliyoor in the Nemom police station limits on Saturday.

Nemom police said Stanley, a retired PSC employee, was stabbed in the stomach following an altercation with the youth near his house at Pavaloor.

The three youth fled the scene on a two-wheeler, which was later found, abandoned at Nedumcad near Karamana.

Five held

The city police on Saturday raided a house in Adarsh Nagar in the Medical College police station limits and arrested five persons on charges of running a sex racket.

The police said a rented house in the colony was being used for the illegal activity for over two months.

Body found

The body of a man, approximately 40 years old, was found on the first floor of the main block of Medical College hospital on Saturday morning.

The police later identified the person as Unnikrishnan of Edakkode, Chadayamangalam.
