Workshop

Indian Society of Lighting Engineers, Karnataka State centre, in association with European Union, will conduct a three-day workshop under Europe-India collaboration on "Street and External Lighting Technology - Information Exchange and Training" from Tuesday at Hotel Atria on Palace Road. Principal Secretary (Energy) Dilip Rau, who is also the Administrator of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), will inaugurate the workshop. Details can be had on Ph: 23448421, 9341231755.

Course

Indian Institute of Hams will conduct a weekend course for grant of Ham Radio Operating Licence issued by the Union Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Classes will start from February 16 at 6 p.m. at Ham Radio Station, Room No 98, II Floor, Sree Kanteerva Outdoor Stadium, Kasturba Road. Details can be had on Ph: 9448302677.

Lecture

The lecture of David Siras on "Theories of business leadership in public administration" organised by the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Karnataka regional branch, scheduled on Monday, will now be held on Tuesday. The lecture will be held at the IAS Officers' Association building, Infantry Road.

Postponed

The examinations of history for third semester B.Arch and building construction materials for eighth semester B.Arch, which was scheduled for Monday, have been postponed. The examinations will be held on February 27 at the same venue.

Exhibition

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Bangalore centre, has organised an exhibition-cum-contest of electronics/physics projects on National Science Day on February 28. Drive

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials removed bunting measuring up to 250 metres, 32 different types of banners and many posters in a special drive on Saturday. A press release said that the palike commissioner had ordered the special drive. The drive was conducted at Town Hall Circle, Hudson Circle, Basaveshwara Circle, Devaraj Urs Cricle, K.R. Circle, Maharani College Circle, Mayo Hall Circle, Sampige Road, M.G. Road, among others.
