LA SERENA (Chile): Igor Andreev saved Russia from elimination by beating Chile's Nicolas Massu 6-2, 6-1, 7-6(1), 6-4 in the final rubber of their Davis Cup World Group first round tie here on Sunday. At Liege (Belgium), Kristof Vliegen outplayed Chris Guccione 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 as host Belgium shocked Australia 3-2. The results: At La Serena: Russia beat Chile 3-2 (Igor Andreev bt Nicolas Massu 6-2, 6-1, 6-7(1), 6-4). At Liege: Belgium beat Australia 3-2 (Kristof Vliegen bt Chris Guccione 6-4, 6-4, 6-4). At Linz: Argentina beat Austria 4-1 (Guillermo Canas bt Alexander Peya 4-6, 6-1, 6-4).
