GUNTUR: The industry-farmer cooperation is essential for delivering quality goods and this kind of partnership is beneficial for both to improve their respective productivity, District Collector G. Jayalakshmi has said.

Addressing delegates from industry and farming community at Confederation of Indian Industry organised a conference on `Exploring business opportunities' here on Monday, she called upon farmers adopt good farming practices and cooperate with the agri-process and input industry.

The CII Vijayawada Zone chairman M. Venugopal, Vice-Chairman Mohammed Meeran, ILTD Chief Executive S. Janardhan Reddy and ITC Divisional Chief Executive Pradeep Dhobale also spoke.
