COMMENDABLE GESTURE: Patients being examined at the health camp in Berhampur on Monday.
BERHAMPUR: The Rushikulya Gramya Bank (RGB) organised a free health checkup camp in the city to commemorate its 26th foundation day on Monday. Established in 1981, this Regional Rural Bank (RRB) happens to be second best RRB in Orissa with no accumulated losses. It has its operations in Ganjam and Gajapati districts of south Orissa with 77 branches. Hundreds of customers and general public took advantage of the free health camp organised by the bank at its gate Bazar branch. The health camp was inaugurated by chairperson of the bank C. Doraswamy in the presence of its General Manager, Ch. Ranga Rao. The medical team at the camp was led by Dr Pramod Agarwal. During last 25 years the bank has proved to be the best RRB in south Orissa and it is second to the RRB in Dhenkanal district in the State. According to Rabindra Kumar Panigrahy, branch manager of the RGB, the 325 staff members of the bank are now trying to reach the target of transaction worth Rs. 700 crores by March-end.
