Thirty-six persons injured

Thiruvananthapuram: Thirty-six persons were injured when a KSRTC bus running on the Aryanad-Vizhinjam route, overturned at Mukkoli, on Monday morning. The bus lost control and overturned while it was giving way to a jeep. All injured were under observation at the Medical College hospital. Three of them — Subhadra, 67, of Parandoor; Sobhana, 43, of Vellanad and Krishnan Asari of Uzhamalakkal have been admitted to the wards. — Staff Reporter

Bank's gesture

Thiruvananthapuram: State Bank of Travancore General Manager R.G. Gadkari has donated a computer with all accessories to the Sai Jyothi Women's Charitable Society for the Blind at a function held in the city recently. The donation was a part of the bank's community services in the State. — Staff Reporter
