Letters to the Editor
L. Radanika,
Can't we adopt satyagraha, which is more effective than bandhs that inflict losses on the economy, to protest? The Cauvery issue can be solved only through talks. What have we achieved by organising the bandh except bringing the lives of lakhs of people to a standstill?
Bejawada Venkateswarlu,
The very purpose of constituting the Tribunal was to bring about a just resolution of the Cauvery dispute. The object has been adequately achieved after a prolonged battle but has ironically resulted in disturbances. The political parties are clear that their survival is solely dependant on perennial turbulence in the country. The day the people realise the ploy, the country will move on the path of progress.
