BHUBANESWAR: For the innumerable aspiring actors of Orissa, here is a reason to rejoice. The State will soon have its first acting school courtesy of the city-based three-decade-old theatre institution Satabdira Kalakar. To be christened Satabdira Kalakar School of Drama, it will be launched in March with a three-month diploma course in acting, announced institution founder-secretary and dramatist Dhira Mallick. "Orissa has a large number of amateur theatre institutions that have kept the meaningful theatre tradition alive despite severe lack of patronage. It is a full-time programme meant for young students. The school will be affiliated to the Utkal University of Culture and it will introduce courses in other departments of entertainment industry in future. .
