HYDERABAD: Acambis plc and Bharat Biotech have commenced paediatric clinical trial of "ChimeriVax-JE, its investigational single-dose vaccine against Japanese encephalitis (JE), in India. According to a press release here on Tuesday, Acambis announced that ChimerVax-JE, once approved, would be marketed and distributed in India and neighbouring countries by Bharat Biotech. Countries such as India, China, Thailand, and Japan were identified as JE-endemic regions in the world.
