Evangelist addresses convention

PATHANAMTHITTA: Evangelist Bishop Robert M.Solomon of the Singapore Methodist Church delivered the keynote address at the forenoon session on the third day of the 112th Maramon Convention at Maramon near Kozhencherry on Monday. In the afternoon session at 2.30 p.m., Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa, delivered the religious discourse. Joseph Mar Ireneus Saffragan Metropolitan presided over the meeting. The evening session was addressed by Issac Mar Philexinos Episcopa at 7 p.m.

The ecumenical meet to be held on Wednesday forenoon will be inaugurated by Bishop Mar Andrews Thazhath.

Alexander Jacob, Inspector-General of Police, and Joseph Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, episcopal synod secretary of the Jacobite Syrian Church, will also address the meeting. The meeting against social evils will be held at 2.30 pm.

The Mar Thoma Sevika Sanghom meet will be held on February 16 and the missionary meet on February 17.

The Department of Sacred Music and Communication (DSMC) attached to the Mar Thoma Church presented music sessions on the occasion.
