NEW DELHI
: Nine Indians detained by Afghan authorities for overstaying were released on the intervention of the Indian Embassy in Kabul. Three of them are from Kerala and two each from Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Punjab.
They were issued fresh visas and had reached Dubai, a release issued by Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamad's office said. The nine Indians were working with Clear Water Equipment Company, Dubai.
Shiaz Vivek (Thrissur), Irshad C. P. (Kozhikode) and Appu Anil Kumar (Thiruvananthapuram) are from Kerala while Balakrishnan Muthu Kumar and Mohammad Sait (both from Tirunelveli) are from Tamil Nadu.
