KOCHI: The Kerala Swathantra Matsya Thozhilali Federation has demanded that the Government issue a White Paper on utilisation of the tsunami rehabilitation fund. The Government should also institute a probe if the fund was misused, federation president Lal Koilparambil said on Tuesday. He was speaking at a press conference here. The Government had not declared the expenditure details of Rs.1441.75 crore which it had received from the Union Government, including Asian Development Bank assistance for tsunami emergency aid and rehabilitation. He said the fishermen had suffered immense loss in the tsunami, but the Government had drawn out plans for distribution of aid among the people of 187 villages in nine districts.
