Stress on water conservation

Staff Reporter

KADAPA: Water will become scarce for future generations unless every person conserves at least one litre of water per day, Southern Regional Director of Central Ground Water Board G.D. Ojha said on Tuesday.

Addressing the valedictory session of the two-day training camp on rain water harvesting and artificial recharge here, Mr. Ojha said surface water sources, tanks and ponds were drying up and ground water was fast depleting on account of rainfall deficiency. Mr. Ojha gave away certificates to 16 participants.
