Students who did well in sports and studies felicitated

DHARWAD: Board's Pre-University College, Malmaddi, Dharwad felicitated its past and present meritorious students in a function held at its premises here on Sunday.

Felicitating the students, chairman of Karnataka Vikasa Grameena Bank (KVGB), M. Dhananjay called on them to achieve goals set by them through hardwork and sheer dedication.

He expressed happiness over the excellent performance of the students in both curricular as well as extra-curricular activities. Such felicitations will certainly help the achievers do still better, he added. Students who fared well in studies and sports including Mrutyunjay Malenahalli who was adjudged "best student of the year"and Pavan Deshpande, who represented Karnataka in the under-17 cricket team were honoured on the occasion.

Members present

Secretary of Karnataka Education Board, Shrikant Patil presided over the function. Governing council chairman R.T. Kulkarni and vice-principal G.R. Bhat were present.

Principal D.S. Rajpurohit welcomed the gathering. Senior lecturer Vasant Murdeshwar and Sunita Kadapatti introduced the guests and the meritorious students. Shweta Nayak compered the programme. G.C. Kulkarni proposed the vote of thanks.
