LUCKNOW: A notorious criminal Suraj Singh, wanted in the killing of two policemen recently, was shot dead by a special task force of Uttar Pradesh police on the outskirts of here. Acting on a tip-off, the police team intercepted Singh, who opened fire on being challenged was killed in retaliatory fire. Singh, a resident of Sultanpur district, carried a reward of Rs.20,000 on his head, police said.
