Cases booked for diverting LPG cylinders

HYDERABAD: Joint task force teams constituted by the Government to check diversion of LPG cylinders for commercial purposes have booked 2,406 cases in the State so far.

The steps to monitor the LPG supply position in the State began after oil companies had supplied 72,000 MT of LPG to the State in January, against a monthly requirement of 65,000 MT.

Commissioner of Civil Supplies G.N. Rao said the LPG supply position was also being reviewed with the oil marketing companies.
