Karunanidhi reallocates portfolios

Mines and Minerals to Ponmudy

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi on Tuesday reallocated portfolios of a few Ministers. The Mines and Minerals portfolio held by him will henceforth be handled by Higher Education Minister K.Ponmudy.

The Cooperation portfolio has been taken away from Ko.Si.Mani and given to Food Minister A.V.Velu and Mr. Mani has been given Statistics and Ex-Servicemen welfare, which was one of the departments handled by Mr. Ponmudy. PWD Minister Durai Murugan gets Law in addition to his existing responsibilities. The portfolio was taken from I.Periasami, Revenue Minister.
