"I have now become the Minister of State for Commerce for Kerala," was how Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh said while referring to his frequent trips to the State. He said this while on a visit to the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) on Monday to inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi Chair in Ecosystems and Sustainable Development. The Minister, who addressed a gathering of faculty members and students, said professors were reluctant to give up their positions in various universities. "They (professors) should empower the younger talents on the campus," he said. G. Krishnakumar
