A Japanese touch

Compared to flower shows of the past in Kochi, a special attraction this year is the interest shown by the Government of Japan.

Among the various competitions for floral arrangement is one in the world-renowned Japanese Ikebana style.

The Ikebana competition is sponsored by the Alumni Society for AOTS, Kerala (ASA Kerala), the local chapter of the world-wide network of the Japan based non-governmental organisation.

Special prizes will be given by the Consulate General of Japan, Chennai, for the best three arrangements.

Cash prizes will also be given by the ASA Kerala.
