NEDUMBASSERY: Indian has announced the introduction of a non-stop service in the Delhi-Kochi-Delhi sector from February 18. The airline will operate the service thrice a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. An A-319 aircraft will be deployed for the operation of the service. Two classes, 20-seat Executive Class and a 94-seat Economy class, will be on offer to the passengers. Flight IC 465 is scheduled to leave Delhi at 4.30 p.m. and will arrive here at the Cochin International Airport at 7.40 p.m. In the return direction the flight, IC 466, will depart at 8.20 p.m. and reach Delhi at 11.30 p.m.
A special introductory fare of Rs.3000/ for one way passage (plus taxes) will be on offer for the promotion of the service, said Patrick Xavier, Area Marketing Manager (Kochi), in a release Presently, the airline operates a daily service from Kochi to Delhi, which is routed via Mumbai. Air Sahara has also introduced a service recently in the Delhi-Kochi-Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi sector, which in effect serve as a non-stop service from Thiruvananthapuram to Delhi, in addition to its daily service in the Delhi-Kochi sector, which is routed via Hyderabad.
