MYSORE: Farmers will begin a padayatra from Krishnaraja Sagar dam near here to Raj Bhavan in Bangalore on Friday to protest against the Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal's final award. Organised under the auspices of Srirangapatna Taluk Cauvery Hitarakshana Samithi, the padayatra will reach Raj Bhavan in Bangalore on February 20. Farmers will submit a memorandum "written in blood" to Karnataka Governor T.N. Chaturvedi. Addressing a press conference here, farmers' leader Ambarish Gowda said former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would flag off the padayatra. Former MP and Mandya district Cauvery Hitarakshana Samithi president G. Made Gowda would attend it.
