TDP, CPI(M) walkout over PDS `neglect'

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party and CPI(M) members staged a walkout during question hour in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday charging the Government with neglecting public distribution system (PDS) and failing to supply adequate quantity of food grains.

Before leading the walkout, TDP deputy floor leader T. Devender Goud said PDS had been completely ruined and blamed the Government for failing to get additional quota of kerosene from the Centre on the lines of Tamil Nadu and other States.

He charged Revenue Minister D. Prasada Rao with not replying properly and making a political speech.
