Pranab to visit Dhaka

NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will visit Dhaka on February 19 to invite the Bangladeshi leadership for the 14th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit here on April 3 and 4.

Mr. Mukherjee has already visited other SAARC capitals — Thimpu, Male, Colombo, Kathmandu, Islamabad and Kabul — to invite heads of government/State for the summit.

It is likely that Chief Adviser to the Caretaker Government Fakhruddin Ahmed will represent Bangladesh at the summit.
