Chief Minister reveals all his `decision-makers'

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy wakes up daily at Brahma muhurtham and undertakes yoga and exercise to make himself fit for the administration.

He will use the pre-dawn tranquillity to reflect on several issues, especially the problems of the poor. This was stated by Dr. Reddy in the Assembly on Thursday.

He said poor people always figured in his early morning thoughts, prompting him to take decisions. A decision was taken recently to grant scholarships to all eligible students from the weaker sections.

Dr. Reddy said he had worked as doctor at a 70-bed hospital at his native Pulivendula, attending on 200 to 300 patients daily without charging consultation fee, but that did not give him much satisfaction. He decided to enter politics as he thought he could serve Pulivendula better through this means.

Now, as Chief Minister he could shape policies which served larger number of people.
