HYDERABAD: Raising slogans against the decision to close down some RTC bus depots, TRS members stalled the question hour proceedings on Thursday forcing Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy to adjourn the House for a brief while. Earlier, Mr. Reddy disallowed an adjournment notice tabled by the TRS along with five other notices, including two tabled by the TDP and the CPI(M) on minorities' welfare. The CPI's adjournment's motion was on revival of RTC depots, the BJP's related to weaker section students' problems and the Janata Party's was on establishment of degree and PG colleges in the Metpalli constituency. Immediately after the Speaker announced the rejection of the motions, TDP, TRS, CPI and BJP members held aloft placards, seeking discussion on the issues raised by them. The Speaker said that they had already mentioned the topics during the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor's address and they would be allowed to seek clarifications after Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's reply later in the day. Disregarding the Speaker's appeal to cooperate, TRS members rushed towards the podium and raised slogans. A few CPI members moved into the well. As the din continued, the Speaker adjourned the House for 15 minutes. The din subsided when the House reassembled after Finance Minister K. Rosaiah said Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana would make a statement on the issue soon.
