Rs.1.05 crore for medical college

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kozhikode Medical and Dental Colleges are the major beneficiaries of the administrative sanction given for incurring expenditure worth over Rs.1.05 crore in the Health Department.

The neuro surgery department of the medical college will get Rs.30 lakhs for installing the Leksell stereo statics equipment and the radio diagnosis wing Rs.8.13 lakh for setting up digital subtraction equipment.

Dental College

The Dental College will get Rs.9 lakh for modernising the oral and maxillo facial surgery clinic.

Orders have also been issued for creating one post of Assistant Professor, one post of Associate Professor and three posts of Lecturers in the Community Medicine Department of the Kozhikode medical college.

The Government has also cleared the construction of one more storey in Arogya Bhavan from where the Ayurveda Medical Education Directorate functions.
