HASSAN: Hundreds of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) workers staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday demanding better facilities for Dalits and also protesting against what they termed the failure of the Government to protect them. Their demands include end to atrocities on Dalits, ban on sale of arrack, houses and increase in allowance to students. They presented a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner K.H. Aswathanarayana Gowda.
