TIRUPATI: Crime sleuths have on Thursday claimed to have nabbed a three-member, inter-State gang. Another notorious thief who was arrested and prosecuted several times in the past, in connection with 40-odd house-breaking cases in Chennai city during the last ten years, was also nabbed. The gang from Madhya Pradesh was picked up on Wednesday at the TTD's 3rd choultry here by the Central Crime Station (CCS) team led by Circle Inspector Abhishekam. Property worth Rs.3 lakhs, stolen from a house in the NGOs Colony here in September last, was recovered. Police gave the names of the three accused as Solanki, Raghuveer and Chotokumar Jadav-- all in their thirties. The sneak-thief from Chennai-- Harry Philip (40) was zeroed in by the same CCS team on Thursday, when he was reportedly hanging around the TTD's Srinivasam pilgrim complex here. Properties like gold and silver ornaments, laptop computer, video camera, etc., worth Rs.1.5 lakhs were recovered.
