TIRUPATI: With the legal hurdles, initially over the election and subsequently on the announcement of the results cleared, the following have assumed office as Sarpanches of the four panchayats attached to the Tirupati (urban) mandal. Anna Malleeswari (Rajivnagar panchayat), B. Mamatha (Muthyal Reddy Palle) , C. Munikrishna (Settipalle) and A. Sudhakar Reddy (Thimminayudupalem). The elections to these panchayats were held in December but their results withheld.
