ONGOLE: All arrangements have been made for polling in the graduates, teachers and local authority constituencies in the State Legislative Council election slated on March 21 and 23 in the district. Speaking to newspersons here on Thursday, district Collector B. Udaya Lakshmi said that 222 polling booths were arranged - 101 for graduates constituency, 61 for teachers and 60 for local authority constituency voters. There were 57,777 graduate voters, 4,218 teachers and 935 local authority voters, including ZPTCs, MPTCs, councillors, ZP chairperson and municipal chairmen. Nominations could be filed till February 22. Scrutiny would take place on February 23 and withdrawal of nominations would be allowed till February 26. Polling for local authority constituency would be held on February 21 and for teachers and graduates constituencies on February 23 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
