GUWAHATI: Kerala and Punjab men recorded their second straight wins and entered the semifinals in the basketball event of the 33rd National Games at the K.N.C. Bordoloi indoor stadium here on Thursday.

The results (preliminary league): Men: Pool A: Punjab 81 (Jasjot Singh 28, Yadwinder Singh 14, Gagandeep Singh 12) bt Karnataka 62 (Srinivas Naik 26, Srinivas Gowda 11); Assam 81 (Shiv Kumar 29, Ram Aashre 22, Hanuman Singh 15, Vinod Choudhary 11) bt Karnataka 63 (Srinivas Naik 24, Srinivas Gowda 14); Uttaranchal 74 (Mohit Bhandari 15, M. Krishnan 15, Harendra Singh 13, Desraj 12) bt Assam 70 (Shiv Kumar 31, Vinod Choudhary 12, Hanuman Singh 11).
