KOTTAYAM: The four HIV+ students who were forced out of a lower primary school at Pampady, near here, in December last, will be readmitted to the school. The State Government took a decision to this effect after protracted talks and awareness campaigns among stakeholders. According to Aids Control Society sources, a high-level meeting involving the Education Minister, Health authorities and the Leader of the Opposition decided to ask the school authorities to readmit the students in their respective classes. As a section of the parents were still adamant and had threatened of taking their wards away in case the HIV+ children were reinstated, the authorities did not discount removal of such students.
