JAIPUR: The low-cost airline Air Deccan will launch its flights between Delhi-Udaipur and Delhi-Jodhpur from this coming April 1. The Delhi-Udaipur service will be operational four days a week while the Delhi-Jodhpur service will be thrice a week. Both the flights will be via Jaipur. The company has acquired a 48-seat ATR-42 aircraft for the new routes. The booking will start from Friday. This will be the company's first air service between Jaipur and Jodhpur. The Delhi-Udaipur flight would take off from Delhi at 2-30 p.m. and reach Jaipur at 3-30 p.m. and Udaipur at 5 p.m. The Udaipur-Delhi flight will take off at 5-15 p.m. to touch down at Jaipur at 6-30 p.m. and reach Delhi at 7-45 p.m. The Jodhpur-Delhi flight will take off from Delhi at 2-30 p.m. to reach Jodhpur at 5 p.m. via Jaipur. The Delhi flight will take off from Jodhpur at 5-15 p.m. "The new low-cost link will give a fillip to the trade and commerce of the cities concerned. It will promote tourism and help all-round development of the area," said Air Deccan Managing Director G. R. Gopinath.
