Recruitment scam: more chargesheets

CUTTACK: The State Vigilance Directorate on Wednesday filed three more chargesheets against the former state DGP N C Padhi, former ADG P C Mishra and two other senior police officers of the State in connection with sensational constable recruitment scam of 2003.

At least five corruption cases were filed in connection with irregularities in the recruitment of constables in seven Armed Police battalions and India Reserve Battalion at Upper Kolab in Koraput. Charge sheets in two cases were filed against these officials last year.
