Job fair

Velai4u.com Placements India will hold a job fair on February 17 and 18 at S.N.R. Sons College. More than 5,000 applicants, including final year students from various colleges are expected to make use of the fair. About 40 companies from places, including Coimbatore, Tiruchi and Madurai will participate.

Recital

The State Bank of India's Coimbatore Zonal Office has organised a carnatic music recital by Nithyasree Mahadevan. It will be held at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan auditorium at R.S. Puram on February 17.

Teleshoppe

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will conduct a Mobile Teleshoppe under the Ganapathy Telephone Exchange on February 17. This is to enable people to book new telephone connections. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a release from the BSNL said.

Conference

The Department of Computer Applications at Karunya Institute of Technology and Science will conduct a national conference on `Data Mining and Data Warehousing' on February 17. It is sponsored by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Nagesh R. Iyer, Director-Grade-Scientist of the council at Chennai will inaugurate the conference.
