CHENNAI : The project day titled Sanchar Vani (on media and communication) at The PSBB Millennium School, St. Thomas Mount, showcased a child's perspective of communication technology. From the ancient method of announcement using the drum to the latest iPods, children provided an overview of communication through the ages. "Children today know only the Internet, FM Radio and Satellite TV and radio channels. The school children put up a mock post-office, radio station and television station. The live FM radio was a big hit. Ham Radio, Satellite Radio, All India Radio, iPod and Mobile FM were covered in Radio. Visakan S. of Standard II, who was dressed up as Guglielmo Marconi, explained how radio worked. The children of Standard III dealt with television, and they had displayed a model of 1969 model television and also the latest plasma television. Vijetha Ravi explained the concept of satellite television technology.
