Musical evening

CHENNAI : Veteran singer S.P. Balasubramaniam completes 40 years of an illustrious service to filmdom. Marking the occasion will be a Telugu film musical evening organised by

Sharan Incorporation. `Ea Divilo Virisina Paarijathamo' will feature SP Balasubramyam himself, besides S. P. Sailaja, Gopika Poornima and Mallikarjuna Rao.

The three-hour concert will be held at Kamaraj Arangam on February 16 at 6.30 p.m. The event is supported by SMILE. Tickets priced in the range of Rs. 200 to Rs. 2,000 will be available at the venue from 10 a.m to 6 p.m and Landmark outlet on Nungambakkam High Road. Sivaratri programme

`Naadhabrahmam' music journal will present a Sivaratri special, `Maha Sivarathri Akhandam' from 6 p.m. on February 16 to 6 a.m. the next day. Justice N.V. Balasubramanian will inaugurate the 12-hourmusical programme at Kurunkaleeswarar temple in Koyambedu. Eminent musicians will participate.
