KOODANKULAM: Activist Medha Patkar has joined hands with the Makkal Urimai Paathukaappu Iyakkam (Movement to Protect People's Rights) in its protest against the Koodankulam nuclear power project. Ms. Patkar came here on Thursday to participate in a daylong hunger strike. All business establishments at Koodankulam had downed shutters. Students from the St. Anne's Higher Secondary School took part in the fast.
