Civil aviation security official awarded medal

BANGALORE: P. Gourishankar, Regional Deputy Commissioner of Security, Southern Region, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Chennai, was awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Services during the Republic Day celebrations.

He joined the BCAS in 1991 from the Intelligence Bureau. He was a recipient of the Indian Police Medal in 1995, according to a release..
