HYDERABAD: The row between film writer Chinni Krishna and junior artiste Tara Chaudhary over payment of Rs. 5 lakhs as remuneration took a twist on Thursday night when the latter allegedly attempted suicide in her flat at Banjara Hills. She was shifted to Apollo Hospital, Banjara Hills. Doctors said her condition was stable. A few days ago, Chaudhary had alleged that Krishna refused to pay Rs. 5 lakhs remuneration for a film role he had promised. She also accused the Banjara Hills Inspector of refusing to probe her allegations. She approached the State Women's Commission who called for an explanation from both the writer and the Inspector. Sources said Chaudhary and Krishna brokered a deal on Thursday evening and called for a media conference at 8 p.m. Suddenly, the press conference was cancelled. A couple of hours later, her advocate informed the police that she attempted suicide by gulping toilet-cleaning liquid.
