Iron Maiden to perform in Bangalore on March 17

Bangalore: Headbangers can gear themselves for Iron Maiden, which is performing at Palace Grounds on March 17. This will the heavy metal band's first ever concert in India.

The event will be an impressive act with the band bringing in almost 20 tonnes of backline equipment. Iron Maiden's new album, A Matter of Life And Death, reached number two in the Indian album charts after debuting at number four.

Says singer Bruce Dickinson: "To say we are all really looking forward to coming to Bangalore soon is something of an understatement. It is very special to us to be able play to new fans in countries we have never been to before. The whole trip will be an exciting adventure for us and we intend to enjoy every moment there.."
